Terms of service

By using Famologist (the "Service") you agree to the terms below. We've kept them as short as we can. If anything's unclear, email contact@famologist.com .

The Service is operated by Deseret Consulting Corp ("we," "us," "our"), a Utah corporation. "You" means the person or entity using the Service.

Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to register. You're responsible for the accuracy of the email you sign up with and the security of your password. One person per account. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

Don't use Famologist to:

• Upload data about people without a lawful basis (the people you list have rights too).
• Upload personal data about minors without parental consent.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or load-test the service without permission.
• Access Famologist through automated means (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) without our written permission.
• Resell access or copy our content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel any time from the Settings → Manage subscription portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: email us within seven days of a charge and we'll refund the most recent payment in full upon request. We don't pro-rate refunds outside that window.
• Prices may change. We'll email registered subscribers at least 30 days before any increase, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Your content

The roster data you upload is yours. By using Famologist, you grant us a narrow license to store, process, and display that data to you and the people you've explicitly invited. We don't share it with anyone else. When you delete your account, this license ends and the data is permanently removed.

Our content

The software, design, copy, and brand are ours. You can use the service; you don't get a license to redistribute the underlying code or assets.

Availability and warranty

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee it. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. Direct liability is capped at the amount you've paid in the previous 12 months (or $0 if you're on the Free plan).

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
